OSTEOPATY IN EUROPE

Within the Union European there is no standardized training or regulatory framework for Osteopaths, but attempts are being made to coordinate the profession within the EU there is a conflict between the principle of free movement of labour and the right to practice osteopathy in different member states.

STRATEGIC AIMS

FORE’s vision is underpinned by the following strategic aims:

  • Promoting the recognition and regulation of osteopathy as an autonomous healthcare profession.
  • Ensuring that standards of osteopathic healthcare across Europe are progressively more consistent.
  • Promoting greater awareness of osteopathy and how, properly regulated, it can make a significant contribution to improving the health of European citizens.
  • Providing an inclusive and transparent forum to facilitate effective decision-making by FORE members.

FORE - Osteopathic Regulation in EUROPE

The Forum for Osteopathic Regulation in Europe (FORE) seeks to enhance the protection of patients in Europe by promoting the wider recognition and regulation of osteopaths and high standards of osteopathic treatment.
